Dermaplane is a safe, non-invasive treatment in which a special tool is used along the surface of the skin. The Dermaplane process removes dead skin cells and “peach fuzz”. Everyone has some degree of “peach fuzz” hair on their skin- it may be blonde or dark and some have more visible hair than others. The “peach fuzz” can trap dirt and oils and leave your skin looking dull and lifeless which can also impede with make-up and skin care product penetration. Dermaplane does not require downtime and will produce fresher, smoother skin; however, when performed with other skin care treatments, Dermaplane can help enhance results and may require downtime. By removing the top layer of the skin, patients can experience better product penetration, smoother make-up and a clean feeling to their skin.
Our Skin Care Specialists have found that the Dermaplane procedure is most effective when paired with other skin care services. A customized Facial combined with Dermaplane will allow for the customized products to penetrate deeper into the skin producing a quicker result.
