It is not uncommon for every woman to notice a slight difference in the size of her breasts. Any changes in sizing that occur quickly, however, should be discussed with your physician immediately. The rule of thumb is that most breast asymmetries are less than a cup size in difference. Breast asymmetry correction surgery is the process of making your breasts appear more symmetrical in appearance and even in size. Who better than to perform breast asymmetry surgery than a female plastic surgeon?
Results Will Last
Everyone continues to age and some women may go through pregnancies that can change the breast. But even with post surgical events, the breast will always look more symmetrical.
The recovery process varies in time depending on what procedure is necessary.
Why have breast asymmetry correction surgery?
- To achieve symmetry in your breast size
- To better fit into bras
- To better fit into clothing
- To avoid the use of prosthetic breast inserts
- To feel more confident
Most reputable, board certified plastic surgeons prefer not to perform cosmetic surgery on a young woman before she turns 18. She turns 18 she can sign her own permit. However, due to the reconstructive nature of this procedure, exceptions are made based on the physical and mental maturity of the patient. In general, the best surgical results are obtained when surgery is performed a minimum of two years after the onset of their period. At that point in time, the breasts have usually achieved stable growth.
Surgery for the correction of breast asymmetry may involve one or more procedures. After examining you at your consultation, Dr. Christine Sullivan will discuss your individual options for correcting breast asymmetry.
